Research conducted by Henley indicates that there is a real need for a strategic professional HR qualification that facilitates the development of HR business leaders.

The focus of this new qualification is to develop HR generalists into confident HR business leaders operating at a strategic level within the organisation.

This rigorous qualification will enable the HR executive to:

  Add value to the organisation
  Manage strategic challenges
Interact with board level executives as colleagues
  Exert influence throughout the organisation

This qualification has been developed in conjunction with Henley’s HR Centre of Excellence members (leading corporate organisations) to ensure a highly practical focus whilst maintaining the academic rigour of an MSc qualification.

"Every HR Director worthy of the name is looking for their potential successors, the best HR talent that will be capable of stepping up into very significant HR roles. We all spend time on talent spotting, but how much time or effort do we spend on growing new HR talent? Probably nowhere near enough. That's one reason why I'm a big supporter of the Henley MSc in Advanced HR. Helping to grow our future HR Directors, equipping them with the business, personal and senior functional skills they will need - that's a pleasure as well as an obligation."
Alan Davis, Chief HR Officer, BT Global Services

Participants will work mainly on their own organisations (with visits to other organisations), thus adding value to their organisation as soon as the study programme begins.

No other programme provides the opportunity to further develop significant HR management experience with others at the same level.
