Professional Expertise:
- For over a period of nearly two decades, Giampiero has had increasing financial and strategic responsibilities in the Life Science industry. This was ultimately as a Director in one of the leading research-based pharmaceutical companies, where he was leading global teams dedicated to innovation and change. He is currently involved in the governance of non-profit health research organisations, serving as a Board Member of SEFAP, the epidemiology research centre of the University of Milan, and the Phoenix Stem Cell Foundation for Human Life. Giampiero is a Member of the Corporate Finance Faculty at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and a Visiting Faculty at the "Statale" and the "Bicocca", the two public Universities in Milan.

- Giampiero has conducted some pioneering research using Real Option pricing models to valuate pharmaceutical R&D projects. His current academic research interests focus on governance of public health and managerial relevance of Corporate Governance.
